Hasensprung Pinot Noir, red wine

This wine comes from a single plot in the Bechtheimer Hasensprung site, in which tertiary river deposits of the Urrhein, so-called clay fersallites, are found. The south-facing, but wind-open location does not heat up too much, even in midsummer, in contrast to our other Bechtheim areas. This gives us a rather cooler, finer Pinot Noir type from the small-berry grapes of Burgundian clones.

For this special wine we select the most spectacular casks. Very well integrated wood, still youthful in the scent. Fine hints of herbs and essential oils, but also fine cherry fruit. Slim on the palate with a distinctive acidity and elegant tannin structure. In between, salty-steel minerality. Incredibly dense, but fine; spicy but juicy; expansive, but focused - an experience!
