"The Geyersberg Riesling from the Spiess family is always full-bodied, juicy, even opulent, but when precision and mineral notes are added, as in 2020, it gives the wine an additional dimension. Great! The Weißburgunder R shows good concentration, ripe fruit, yellow fruits, is full-bodied, has a substantial structure; a little more complex is the Chardonnay R, which shows smoky notes and ripe fruit, has good structure, freshness and clear fruit. The white wines of the S line are also very good, have fullness and power, the estate wines are clear and harmonious. The four presented red wines from the 2018 vintage are very strong, in the usual powerful style. The Pinot Noir from the Hasensprung shows notes of spices, subtle chocolate, is structured, gripping, slightly floral. The Syrah shows pure fruit, blackberries, is clear, compact, tannic - has potential! The Merlot shows smoky notes, subtle spices, is powerful, full-bodied and tannin-heavy, the slightly spicy and cassis-scented Cabernet Sauvignon has good structure and grip.''
